Who are we?

I’m Dana Kosanovic, the founder of Little Learners Academy. For nearly two decades, I’ve been caring for and teaching children as a classroom teacher, nanny, babysitter, and recreational leader right here in Chicago. Becoming a mom deepened my passion for creating a place where children are not only cared for but truly prepared for life beyond the preschool years.

At Little Learners Academy, we believe childhood is meant to be explored. Our mission is to provide a safe, joyful space where learning feels natural, balancing structured lessons with play-based discovery. Every child deserves an environment that nurtures curiosity, builds confidence, and inspires a lifelong love of learning.

As a full-day preschool, we focus on the whole child: social, emotional, and academic growth. Our curriculum is designed to spark creativity, strengthen problem-solving skills, and encourage meaningful connections. We want children to feel seen, valued, and excited to walk through our doors each day.

Our family’s Christian faith shapes the way we live and give, but our program itself is fully secular, open, and welcoming to all families. Guided by values of kindness, service, and generosity, we tithe 10% of our earnings to local charities, supporting the community that supports us.

As both an educator and a parent, I understand how much trust families place in us. That is why our commitment goes beyond academics. We are here to support families, build community, and help little learners flourish.

We cannot wait to welcome your child to the Little Learners family!
